  1. Paver mixer and Color Mixer making

The first phase is to create the mixer for paver using the concrete miller. The mixer is created by mixing the cement with crusher dust sand, baby chips and water. The normal ratio of this mixer is Cement – 50 KG, crusher – 100 KG, Baby chips -84 KG and water as per requirement. All these ingredients should be mixed well to form the flowing mixer with the thick consistency.

On the other hand, color mixing machine can use for mixing the color using color oxides along with chemicals. Chemicals are used for water reduction in pavers in order to provide the ultimate strength. Whereas color oxides are used for coloring the paver along with drying out the paver for long durability. Here are few details about the chemical we are using.

  SMF-Sulphonated Melamine Formaldehyde

SMF powder and Color Oxides are used in the paver production. SMF is a well-known superplasticizer used in paver production around the world. It is a high-end water reducer in order to provide the maximum durability to pavers. SMF powder widely used for all types in all types of grouts, mortars, coating and as a component of the concrete admixtures and emulsions. The usage ratio is 2-4 gram per 1 kg.

PCE- Poly Carboxylated Either

PCE is also a plasticizer that performs a quick setting of mixer and water reduction. PCE is in liquid form with a quantity distributed drums. The usage ratio is 3-5 gram per 1 kg.

 Color Oxides

Color oxides are used for used for coloring the tiles as per request and to make tile attractive. Color oxides also attached with the chemical which works as the plasticizer. The quantity of color requires only a little amount, that is 2 gram per 100 kg. There are re different types of oxides such as

Color oxides are mainly used for providing the necessary colors to the tiles, it will make the paving designs more attractive. There is also chemicals added in it will which make the paver harder for improving the lifespan.

  1. Paver making

As the paver mixer prepared in concrete miller and color mixer and chemicals prepared parallelly, major paver production action can perform now. The process starts with layering the paver mould by color mix and place it on first vibrator table. The forward vibrating table will lead the paver mould to next table where the mould will be filled with paver mixer created in concrete miller. Again the paver will push to the vibrating table where the paver will fill its quantity in equal proportion.  After completing the table round, paver will be placed above the plywood sheet for one day to cool and harden the paver. The next day paver will take out and spread under the sun to soak the full water.

Mini Paver plant is paver/tile production which has multitasking specifications. It is a high-performance paver plant with the capacity of performing a large variety of task in the field. This plant has the capability to build various level or pavers with a production capability of 3500-4000 moulds within a normal 8-hour shift.

Semi paver plant used for the paver and tile production. This machine can offer high performance and can handle multiple tasks at one time and it provides an option to produce different level of pavers with a capacity of 9000 to 10000 moulds/8 hour shift.

Rubber moulds is a molding process that builds rubber products for various uses. Here in Niamey, Niger, the plant we established produces rubber moulds for our client and these rubber mould are made from uncured rubber or elastomer. The elastomer is any material that transforms into its original form after being pressured or distorted. Rubber is an excellent replacement of elastomer since its ability to come back to original form after being pressured or distorted heavily.

  • 2 Vibrofoming tables which can technically be specified as approximately 3000 holes drilled on an 8MM plate with 1.5 horsepower 3 phase motor
  • 8mm thick top plate and 3 working table with a machine dimension of 10 Ft length * 2.75 widths * 2.96 Ft height.
  • Machine length of 26 Ft and the file size of 2 Ft* 2Ft with height 100mm
  • A capacity of 3000 square feet/8 hour shift for tiles with automatic movement of rubber moulds and 2000 square feet/8 hour shift for Interlock paving Blocks

PAN MIXER Used for  COLOR MIXING

  • A 150 km weighted Pan Mixer and have a balancing capacity of the 150kg batch with a total volume of 200-litre capacity.
  • Having a power of 3 horsepower electric motors with a bottom plate of 10mm and 8mm plate at the sideline.
  • This machine has a dimension of the dimension of 32” dia*depth 16”
  • Reduction gearbox system with a proportionate ratio of 40:1

HYDRAULIC MULLER TYPE GREY MIXER MACHINE WITH HYDRAULIC HOPPER

  • A 500 km weighted Hydraulic Muller type Grey Mixer machine.
  • This machine is particularly used for the concrete mixing process with a capacity of 500 kg and 700-litre volume.

Rubber moulds and PVC moulds are widely used all over. The physical and chemical properties are quite different from each other but rubber and PVC alone possess its own characteristics.

Different types of moulding process are casting, injection moulding, blow moulding, compression moulding, rotational moulding.

Rubber exhibits its own unique features and physical properties. Mullins effect and Payne effect are the stress-strain behaviour exhibited by rubbers. It is often moulded as hyperelastic. Rubber block suppliers comment rubber strain crystalize. Natural rubber is pliant to vulcanisation and delicate to ozone cracking due to the presence of a double bond in each repeat unit.  Turpentine and naphtha (petroleum) are the two main solvents for rubber block manufacturers in Indonesia. Since 1764, the former has been in use when Francois Fresneau made the discovery. In 1779 Giovanni Fabbroni lifted the discovery of naphtha as a rubber solvent. The rubber material is finely divided by shredding prior to its immersion, it does not dissolve easily. The moulding process of rubber is like pressing a block of rubber into a rubber molding metal cavity. By activating a channel reaction the rubber is then exposed to heat. Usually, allrubber block suppliers use heat and pressure method to form molded rubber products. Compression molding, injection molding, and transfer molding are the three rubber moulding process.

  • Compression moulding is done by inserting a sheet inside the mould. It is the simplest moulding method. The rubber is forced to take on the shape of the mould by pressing the two halves of the rubber into the sheet. It is the crudest and oldest form of rubber moulding. In the final stage, it often produces rubber pieces with errors in the final shape. The advantages of compression moulding are:

  2. Good for big parts
  3. Low costing tool
  4. The material doesn’t have to pass through gates, runners or sprues.
  • Injection moulding is heated until it has a toothpaste-like consistency. It is the most precise way to shape rubber. Injecting into a mould the rubber is allowed to harden. PVC is one among the category of thermosetting plastics which can be softened by heating. PVC is the material which is long-term resistant to degradation and oxidation. In Europe, PVC is usually used for flooring, artificial leather, and decorative sheets. It is a natural resource derived from 57% chlorine and 43% carbon. This is an excellent resistant to fire, splintering, decaying, and insect infestation. Because of its cheap rate they are often used for drip edges, kick-boards, table boards. PVC is used for interior as well as exterior applications.

Properties of PVC

    1. Mechanical property

PVC cover blocks possess high hardness. Its mechanical properties upgrade with the increasing molecular weight but it gets decreased with increase in temperature. Rigid PVC possess very good mechanical properties, 1500-3000 MPa is the range of elastic modulus and elastic strength of soft PVC is 1.5-15 MPa.

2. Thermal and fire properties

Since its heat stability ios very low it needs a heat stabilizer during the process to ensure the product’s properties. When the temperature reaches 140 °C PVC starts to decompose with melting temperature starting around 160 °C. It has good flame retardancy. The LOI(linear oxygen index) is minimum(up to 45 or more).

3. Electrical properties

The electrical insulating property is subordinate to non-polar polymers like polyethylene and polypropylene because of its higher polar nature. It is a polymer with good insulation properties. It has high dielectric loss tangent value, dielectric constant, and volume resistivity but poor corona resistance. Generally, it is packed for low frequency insulation materials and medium or low voltage.

4. Chemical properties

PVC is used in sewerage piping as it is resistant to salts, acids, fats, bases, alcohols. uPVC and plastified PVC are less resistant to solvents. Some are resistant to fuel and paint thinners. May some solvents expand it or distort it but not liquefy PVC. Whereas some may damage it like acetone or tetrahydrofuran.

1. Suspension Polymerization

It is a heterogeneous ultra polymerization process that uses mechanical commotion to blend the mixture of monomers. It is one among the widely used polymerization techniques. Does Plastic Moulding Possess Any History?

In the late 1800’s plastic moulding began to fill the need for plastic billiard balls. John Wesley Hyatt in 1868 invented a way to make billiard balls by injecting celluloid into a mould. To automate the process four years later Hyatt and his brother invented and patented the machine. An average of 12 hour day can produce around 1440 pieces because the whole process takes less than two minutes.

    • Compression Moulding

      It is done exactly as its name suggests. A heated mould is filled with a heated plastic material and then pressed into a specific shape. The heating process ensures that the plastic retains maximum strength once the plastic is compressed into the right shape. Paver block installation can be a real problem if you don’t know where or when to start the construction of your pavement. There are things that you must do to make your paver blocks strong like interlocking paver mould, which can provide you with a strong foundation and stability for your paver block design.

Then there are things that one must not do, the  “Don’ts” not to follow while installing a paver block, for example, one cannot use lightweight paver blocks for their parking tiles, as due to the constant heavy weight vehicles the lightweight pavers may break. One must use paver forms which are heavy and have good quality.

If one follows the Do’s and Don’ts pavement installation, one can make sure to have a strong and durable paver design, that can serve one for a long time. If you hope to have a strong paver block design make sure to follow the list below:-     

1)Don’t Cut the Corners

Mark all the pipelines, telephone lines and all other resources available under your paver block creation, make sure that you find the proper source and area for your pavement. Rather cutting the corners right where your paver block ends, take a bit more space and make sure to widen the cut.

For example, if your pavement in 10×20 do not cut the edges at 10 or 20, but add one inch more  and cut 11-21. By doing so you are provided with a better chance to have a well-finished paver block that can provide you with a better chance to have a large and ample paver pathway.

PRE-INSTALLATION AND PLANNING

  • Do’s- Make a reasonable drawing of the area you intend to work with

A scale drawing is helpful than a computer-generated drawing. It is said so because pencil drawing will assist with the planning on the site and also it can help with the calculation of all the materials required.   • Don’t – Guess at the area you want to cover

These words are not a compliment to sell more products but many people have the problem in visualizing their job and they fail to realize that once their yard is set. Rather than an effort a small amount of materials and work is the thing only needed to make your project bigger. Lay your garden hose out to represent the perimeter of the project.

  • Do – Plan the receiving of materials

Coordinating the delivery of new materials and removing the existing material is the next stage of planning. There will a number of materials you are dealing with and all of it can add with different materials that need to be kept separate. So you should keep a plan before things go as soon as they are delivered.

  • Don’t- Overestimate the amount of work you can get done

It’s better to do larger projects over a couple of weekends, one for removing existing materials and excavation and the other for paver making and base. Hiring a company is a better choice to save your time. Even though it costs, your works can be made easier and faster if it is done so.

BASE PREPARATION

  • Don’t- Cut corners

You have to decide the design and size of the job you start with the excavation. Mark all gas lines, phones lines and also over-excavate the perimeter of the area. For example, if your enclosure is set for 20✕10 feet then you should extends your base preparation past the finished size.   • Don’t- Guess at how much base material is required

  • Don’t-  Compact the bedding sand

Compacting the bending sand is the most common mistake. Loose sand given in between the pavers will allow them to set and also this kind of sand will allow the tamping process to even out the top surface of the pavers.

INSTALLING THE PAVERS

  • Do- Start laying the pavers on the longest straight wall

Poured in place curbs and foundation are rarely straight. There should be even a small gap seen after the completion of the project.

  • Don’t- Hammer the pavers together

Don’t lay the pavers tightly, it may raise issues in the future. Don’t measure the gap just set them beside one another. Its better to space the stones out rather than hammering them to straighten the face.

  • Do- Use edge restraint

In spite of their use, all projects need to be restrained properly to avoid creeping around the perimeter of the area. As edge restraint are flexible they can be used to tune your design.
